England keen for Plunkett to bat

Plunkett has been batting at eight in Ashley Giles' absenceEngland will allow fast bowler Liam Plunkett to play for Durham this week to let him work on his batting. "We're releasing him to play for Durham against West Indies A, mainly to get some batting under his belt in a match situation," said coach Duncan Fletcher. "I think he could develop into a good bowling all-rounder who can bat at eight or nine, hopefully eight."
