Pakistan beat NZ to take one-day series
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan beat New Zealand by three wickets to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match one-day series at Rawalpindi stadium here Wednesday.
Pakistan reached 278-7 with 17 balls to spare with Abdul Razzaq making 86 in reply to New Zealand's 277-5 in their 50 overs.
Craig McMillan made 105. Pakistan won the first match in Karachi by 153 runs. The final match of the one-day series will be played at Lahore on April 27.

McMillan century puts New Zealand in command
RAWALPINDI: Craig McMillan hit a sparkling century to steer New Zealand to a challenging 277-5 in the second One-day International against Pakistan at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
The Kiwis, looking to square the three-match series, decided to bat first after Stephen Fleming had won the toss. They lost opener Chris Nevin with total at 44 before McMillan was involved in two hefty partnerships to put New Zealand into a good position.
McMillan completed his second One Day century off the last ball of 48th over off 111 balls, studded with eight hits to the fence and a towering six to the mid-wicket against fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar who had destroyed the visitors with 6-16 in Pakistans 153 runs triumph in the first game of the series at Karachi on Sunday.
McMillan, who was out in the last over for 105, was assisted along the way in a 96 runs second wicket stand off 125 balls with Matthew Horne (62) and in a quickfire third wicket alliance off 45 deliveries with Andre Adams (45). Matthew Horne was adjudged lbw to Wasim Akram by Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar while the same bowler also uprooted the wickets of Andre Adams.
Matthew Horne stayed at the crease for 124 minutes and hit seven boundaries.Andre Adams played for 68 minutes and hit six fours off 45 balls. Wasim Akram finished with 2-58 while Waqar also had two wickets for 46 runs.

New Zealand elect to bat v Pakistan
RAWALPINDI: New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming who did not play the first match at Karachi, won the toss and decided to bat first in the second One-day International against Pakistan being played under lights at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. Pakistan lead the three-match series 1-0 by the virtue of 153 runs victory last Sunday.
Scott Styris is also representing the tourists in today's match.
