More SA grounds get Test status

CAPE TOWN: Two South African venues have been granted new Test Match status by the ICC and will host Test cricket this summer. When Bangladesh play the first Castle Lager/MTN Test match at Buffalo Park, East London, from the 18th of October, that ground becomes the seventh venue in South Africa with current ICC Test match status. 

The North West Cricket Stadium in Potchefstroom will achieve the same status a week later. 

South African grounds with ICC Test status are: 
Buffalo Park, East London, Goodyear Park, Bloemfontein, Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban, Newlands, Cape Town, North West Cricket Stadium, Potchefstroom, St George's Park, Port Elizabeth, SuperSport Park, Centurion, The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. By the end of this summer, 11 venues in South Africa will have hosted Test matches. 

They are: Buffalo Park, East London, Ellis Park, Johannesburg, Goodyear Park, Bloemfontein, Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban, Lord's Durban Newlands, Cape Town, North West Cricket Stadium, Potchefstroom, St George's Park, Port Elizabeth, SuperSport Park, Centurion, The old Wanderers Ground, Johannesburg, The New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.
