India rest paceman Zaheer for third Test 

CHENNAI, India: Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan has been rested for the third and final cricket Test against the West Indies, the national selectors announced here on Sunday. 

"Zaheer has been suffering from a minor knee injury and advised rest for two weeks," said the Indian board secretary S. K. Nair. 

The 24-year-old paceman has been replaced with all-rounder Ajit Agarkar for the last Test, starting at Calcutta on October 30. 

Zaheer has so far taken 62 wickets in 22 Tests, including eight in two matches against the West Indies. 

India clinched the three-match series with an eight-wicket victory over the tourists on the fourth day of the second Test at the Chidambram Stadium here. 

The hosts had won the opening match by an innings and 112 runs at Mumbai.
