SA coaches to train UAE cricketers

DUBAI: The Unique Cricket Training (UCT) institute here has invited two professional coaches from South Africa to train young talent in the UAE.

Johan Burger and Etienne Roets, who are on their first assignment to the UAE, are first class cricketers and represented their provincial teams in South Africa. Both are qualified coaches and familiar with latest training methods, according to Ali Akbar of the UCT. 

"They also have coached several touring teams from India, specially from Mumbai, Chennai and Pune." Etienne was appointed head coach at Boksburg first division team for 2002-2003 season while Johan has been involved with United Cricket Board of South Africa of South Africa's development programme. During their stay in the UAE, they will coach UCT boys and also Me Bank and EBIL teams. The coaches class are expected to start shortly.
