Sindh CM announces public holiday on 13th
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Sardar Ali
Mohammed Mahar Friday announced one-day holiday in Karachi on the
occasion of Pak-India one dayer at National Stadium.
The arrangements for the forthcoming one-day encounter between arch
rivals were reviewed at a meeting held under the chairmanship of
Chief Minister Ali Muhammad Mahar at Chief Minister house here.
On the occasion Mahar said that cricket match between Pakistan and
India at Karachi is an honour for the Province of Sindh.
He said that respect for the guests is a part of our traditions and
he is hopeful that people of Sindh would give a practical
demonstration of their traditional hospitality, sincerity and
respect for the visitors.
The Chief Minister said that people of Sindh would extend full
cooperation to administration and law enforcers for maintenance of
law and order.
He said that local holiday has been announced to enable the people
to watch the match on television while at home.
