Moin, Razzaq, Shabbir to return for 3rd Test: Manager

LAHORE: Pakistani wicketkeeper Moin Khan, all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and pacer Shabbir Ahmed, who missed the second Test against India, would be fit for the third Test next week, the team manager said on Tuesday.

"Tests done on Moin are clear (for his groin problem) and he should be fit in three-four days," manager Haroon Rasheed announced at a news conference after the second day's play in the second Test.

"Shabbir still has a persistent shin problem but he is training and he should also be fit for the third Test," said the former Test player.

About Razzaq's hip ailment, Rasheed said: "He is fit as it was not a big problem."

The third Test begins at Rawalpindi April 13.

Trailing 0-1 in the three-Test series against India, Pakistan Monday made four changes in the XI for the second Test at Gaddafi Stadium here.

Kamran Akmal replaced Moin, fast bowler Umar Gul came in for Shabbir and Razzaq made way for Asim Kamal.

The fourth change was not due to an injury.

Off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq was replaced by leg-spinner Danish Kaneria on the basis of his performance in the first Test at Multan, where India won by an innings and 52 runs.
