Australia lose out as rain washes out final (Sep 08)
NAIROBI: Australia missed out as rain washed out their triangular one-day tournament final against Pakistan on Saturday, with Ricky Ponting's side seemingly well set for victory. 

The match was declared a no result with the tournament honours shared after Australia, chasing Pakistan's 227 all out following five wickets from pace bowler Jason Gillespie, had raced to 67 for one in 9.3 overs.  [more]

NAIROBI: Australia won a place in the final of the triangular series with an eleventh hour tour de force Thursday, beating hosts Kenya with just five balls to spare in the limited overs match.

Shane Watson hit the killer single off Thomas Odoyo on the first ball of the last of Australia's 50 overs, which ended at 205-5. Kenya, who won the toss, finished their 50 overs at 204-9. [more]
