Kirtley out of triangular
series
LONDON: England paceman James Kirtley was
ruled out of the rest of the triangular one-day series
after sustaining a hand injury during a practice session
at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Sussex paceman suffered a dislocation in his right
hand when he tried to catch Jeremy Snape off his own
bowling in the nets. Kirtley has played in all of
England's four triangular series matches against India
and Sri Lanka.
He was forced to remodel his action after being reported
to the International Cricket Council (ICC) during
October's tour to Zimbabwe. England are not expected to
call up a replacement to the squad.
Surrey fast bowler Alex Tudor is now in line to make his
one-day international debut, against Sri Lanka at Old
Trafford, in Sunday's triangular series match.
