Australians make changes for second match

MELBOURNE: Australia has made two changes for game two of the three-match one-day international cricket series against Pakistan at Colonial Stadium on Saturday. Fast bowler Brett Lee will start the match at the expense of fellow paceman Jason Gillespie, who will be 12th man, selectors said.

Jimmy Maher comes in for fellow Queensland batsman Matthew Hayden, who flew home to Brisbane to be with his wife Kellie ahead of the birth of their first child. Australia leads the series 1-0 after a seven-wicket win at the same venue on Wednesday.

Pakistan officials said their team will not be announced until shortly before the match.

Australia: Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Bevan, Andy Bichel, Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Darren Lehmann, Jimmy Maher, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Damien Martyn, Shane Watson, Jason Gillespie (12th man).
