Hooper says WI will bounce
back
MUMBAI: Conceding that his team was totally outplayed by
India in the first Test, West Indies captain Carl Hooper
vowed to bounce back in the remaining two matches the
way his side had done in the home series early this
year.
"We played poorly and the Indians played
well," Hooper said after India registered their
biggest-ever win over the West Indies, the first by an
innings. "But I am confident of coming back into
the series like we did in the home series after losing
at Port of Spain," Hooper said referring to his
team's 2-1 victory against India after going down 0-1 in
the five-Test series at home.
"Now we've to be positive and play well in the next
two Tests. We should also tighten up our fielding
because the atch of Sehwag which we dropped cost us
dearly," he stated.
