Hooper dreams of winning
series
VADODARA: The West Indians are back to their winning
ways and skipper Carl Hooper is confident it can
continue. The Windies took a 3-2 lead in the seven-match
limited-overs series against India with a five-wicket
win Monday in the western city of Vadodara.
"It's nice to return to winning ways. We've now got
a chance to take the series honors and will do whatever
we have to,'' Hooper said after the tourists surpassed
India's total of 290 with seven balls and five wickets
to spare.
The first five matches in the series have been won by
teams chasing targets. Hooper said he wasn't happy to
see his bowlers allow India to post 290 for eight in 48
overs, which he thought was 20 runs beyond a reasonable
target.
