Lawson to replace Hinds

ST JOHN'S: Jamaican fast bowler Jermaine Lawson left for India to replace injured Barbadian Ryan Hinds on West Indies cricket team for its last two internationals against India, officials said. 

Hinds tore ligaments in his right knee while fielding during Friday's fourth limited-overs international at Ahmedabad, putting him out of the seven-match series. Hinds, who will need four to six weeks to heal, has returned home, West Indies Cricket Board said in a statement. "We have been struggling with injuries and Jermaine is coming out to help cover," Ricky Skerritt said.
